Exposed aggregate
The finish Lake Mac asks for by name. Poured, retarded, washed off the next day to reveal the stone, then sealed — in the mixes on this site: Cowra white, ivory, basalt blends and ocean floor.

Exposed, coloured or plain broomed — cut to the boundary, falling the right way, with the drains and edges done properly so it still reads clean in ten years.

From a granny-flat slab to a 640m² shed and a suspended slab over a garage and cellar. Boom-pumped where access is tight, machine-floated flat, poured to the engineer's drawings.
Pool surrounds
Exposed-aggregate surrounds, or a honed seamless edge with no coping and no joints at the water — including circle pools with a waterfall edge. Stainless skimmer lids so nothing plastic breaks the finish.
Coloured & polished concrete
Coloured driveways and entries, and honed or polished floors through alfrescos and outdoor kitchens — the Norah Head alfresco runs straight from the house to the pool in one finish.

Concrete only gives you one go at it. This is the sequence every East Edge job follows — from the first measure-up to the day it’s sealed — and it’s the same sequence you can watch in the reels above.
Cameron comes out, measures the area, checks falls, access for trucks and the pump, and talks through finishes with samples in hand. You get a written quote — free.

Mesh and bar on chairs, edge beams and thickenings where the drawings call for them, drains and skimmer lids cast in so nothing gets cut in afterwards.

East Edge Concreting is a Summerland Point concreting business run by Cameron Thomas, pouring across Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast & Newcastle. The first truck went on the road in 2022; the feed since then is exposed-aggregate driveways, coloured and honed finishes, shed and house slabs, pool surrounds and the decorative pieces — stairs, off-form walls and cast seats.
The mixes are named on every job, the suppliers are the ones you’d want on a pour — Boral, Hymix, Premier Concrete — and the finishing is done by the same crew every time. The business also backs local sport as a sponsor of the Central Coast Sevens.

The ones you see on the jobs here: 100% Cowra white with oxide, 100% ivory with arctic oxide, 80% Cowra white / 20% basalt with black oxide, and the darker “ocean floor” blend of 80% limestone / 20% basalt. We'll bring samples so you choose the stone and the oxide against your house colours, not off a screen.

Yes — shed slabs and aprons of 340, 410, 490 and 640m² are on the feed, along with a 1,300m² acreage driveway poured in sections and a suspended slab over a garage and wine cellar. Big pours are planned around pump and truck access, and we bring the crew to finish them properly before they go off.
That's a specialty. Exposed aggregate or a honed seamless-edge surround — including circle pools with a waterfall edge — with proper falls and drainage away from the water. We also make stainless-steel skimmer and inspection lids so there's no plastic square in the middle of your finish.

You can generally walk on a new slab or driveway the next day and drive on it after about a week, with sealing on exposed aggregate once it has cured — we'll give you the exact timing for your job and the weather when we pour.
